A Remediation Strategy or Method Statement (RMS) may be required as part of the planning process if unacceptable risks have been identified during the Phase 2 Site Appraisal. The RMS will detail how the identified risks will be mitigated and set out the process by which this will be achieved.


The RMS will also set out how the remedial works are to be validated to demonstrate that they have been successfully completed.
